Mare & Youngstock Concentrate is a supplementary feed specifically for mares and young cattle.
The problem of mare and foal switching feed troughs is a thing of the past! This muesli is suitable for both broodmares and foals. All young horses up to 3 years old benefit greatly from this feed. From late pregnancy onwards, the mare has an increased need for calories and proteins to support herself and the growing foal. This feed fully supports the mare in this. Added mannan-oligosaccharide (MOS) and vitamin E increase the quality of the colostrum. The lactation that follows is supported by the high-quality proteins with extra lysine. This stimulates growth and muscle building but also ensures that the broodmare’s condition is maintained during lactation. The highly concentrated vitamin E also provides, in combination with folic acid and essential fatty acids, support for the reproductive system and the developing foal. The young horses are also fully provided for in their needs by the right amount of vitamins and minerals. Even stallions can benefit from this feed due to the organic selenium and omega-3 fatty acids that increase sperm quality.
Nutritional guidelines
Mares (early pregnancy): feed 300 – 500 g per 100 kg body weight per day.
Mares (late gestation and lactating): feed 500 – 700 g per 100 kg body weight per day.
Young cattle: feed 600 g – 1 kg per 100 kg body weight per day.
Do not feed more than 1 kg per 100 kg body weight per day in total. Divide this over at least 2-3 portions per day. Ensure a minimum consumption of 2 kg per 100 kg body weight of roughage per day. Store in a cool, dry place. For use on certain species only.
