Fibergy is a mix of alfalfa and straw, with added oil and mint. It is low in calories, which means it can be used as an extra source of fibre without the animals gaining excess weight. Added oil ensures a shiny coat and healthy skin. Mint makes Fibergy very palatable, ideal for fussy eaters. Due to the high fibre content, the horses will have to chew more, which extends the eating time and keeps the pH of the stomach stable due to the saliva produced. Fibergy is ideal for horses and ponies in light work. It is also suitable for horses that are prone to laminitis.
Feed 50-600 g per 100 kg body weight per day in combination with free access to roughage. Divide this over at least 2-3 portions per day. Ensure a minimum consumption of 1.5 kg per 100 kg body weight of roughage per day. Fresh drinking water must always be available. Only intended for certain species.
