Complementary feed for horses

Biotin is an important vitamin for healthy hoof growth. Cracked, brittle or too soft hooves and insufficient hoof growth can be caused by a deficiency of biotin, a water-soluble vitamin from the group of B vitamins.

The B vitamins are normally produced in sufficient quantities in the healthy large intestine of the horse. Unfortunately, a lack of crude fibre, reduced feed quality or an unbalanced diet lead to disturbances of the intestinal flora and thus to reduced self-synthesis of biotin. In addition to delayed hoof growth and reduced horn quality, skin conditions, muscle tension, nervousness and poor performance can be further signs of a biotin deficiency. Biotin Hoof Mixture is a concentrated feed to promote the formation of healthy hoof horns. It combines biotin in an effective daily dose with vital substances for hoof stability such as organically bound zinc, brewer's yeast, fermented grain and sulphur-containing amino acids.

Recommended dosage:
Offer approx. 1-3 g per 100 kg body weight per day with the power feed. Note: If necessary, double the amount can be given temporarily. Not suitable for mineralization as required.

1 measuring spoon corresponds to approx. 15 g

Nutritional advice:
This supplementary feed should only be fed to horses up to 4.1% of the daily ration (including hay) due to the higher content of vitamins and trace elements compared to complete feed.
